Arrest in Mavambe Kingsview Case

What Happened in June 2026

In June 2026 a house robbery, rape and car theft took place in Mavambe Kingsview village, Limpopo. The crimes shocked the community and prompted a large police hunt.

First Break‑through

On June 19, 2026 investigators from Thohoyandou, Giyani and Malamulele raided a house in Mavambe village. They arrested a 27‑year‑old man who had items linked to the robbery. Three other suspects got away, but police recovered a lot of stolen goods during that raid.

The Big Arrest

A joint intelligence team tracked down a 34‑year‑old man who had been on the run since the June crimes.

  • Where: Sibasa area, then a hideout in Mphego village (Thohoyandou police area).
  • When: Wednesday (date not specified).
  • How: Officers acted on a tip, found the suspect at the premises and arrested him without any trouble.

What Police Seized

During the arrest the suspect was found with a large amount of suspected stolen property, including:

  • Pink Redbat school bag
  • Maroon tekkies (sneakers)
  • Redbat sandals
  • Hybrid solar inverter
  • Svect solar inverter
  • Huawei device
  • Identity document and driving licence
  • Two car tires
  • Plasma television
  • Gold Toyota Etios (with four tires, spare wheel, radio and Sabat battery)

A white Volkswagen Polo that had been hijacked in the incident was later found abandoned in Mavambe village.

Further Searches

Police also checked homes in Maniini and Ha Mphego villages. Although no one was arrested there, they recovered more stolen items such as a flat‑screen TV, a pressure cooker, a speaker and two holdalls full of clothing.

Court Appearance

The 34‑year‑old suspect is set to appear in the Malamulele Magistrates Court on Friday. He faces charges of house robbery, rape and car theft.

What’s Next?

Investigators say the case is still open. They are continuing to look for the remaining suspects and are asking anyone with information to come forward.

Conclusion

The arrest shows how teamwork and community tips can help police catch dangerous criminals. While one suspect is now in custody, the search for others continues, and authorities hope to bring all those involved to justice.
